Choosing a Path for Your 2017

the-path-of-peace

You’re looking for pleasantness and searching for peace. I know, because it’s December.

Changes, surprises, heartaches, social media wars, pressures, pains, worst possible election cycles . . . it’s been a year for the books, if you ask me.

But then, maybe you’re searching for pleasantness and peace in the New Year, because you’ve already tried other paths . . .

You opted for the way of foolishness, and you didn’t like where that led.

God doesn’t much care to see his people walking toward destruction, so such paths tend to be convoluted and obstructed.

He has blocked my ways with blocks of stones; he has made my paths crooked. Lam 3:9

Now imagine a path free of roadblocks, stretching as far as the eye can see.

To enter, you must acknowledge the Lord every step of the way.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Prov 3:6

. . . much like Wisdom.

Did you say you were searching for pleasantness and peace? Because Wisdom is the way to go.

Blessed is the one who finds Wisdom. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Prov 3:17

Can we all please just start off on that path for 2017?

  1. Yes, Lydia! That’s the path that I want to be on in 2017 as well – a path of wisdom that will lead me in the way God would have me go. Thanks so much for the simplicity of this post that points us to thing that matters most.
Merry Christmas to you. I pray that your New Year will be full of blessings (and a whole lot of wisdom) 🙂
