No One Remembered

No one remembered.
No one.

He delivered a whole city.
And no one remembered.

See, wisdom brought him to this place.
And wisdom? It’s despised.

Despised by a world whose view is small.

For wisdom is better.
Wisdom is better than might.
And wisdom is better than weapons of war.

Wise words are better every time.
But one must listen.
And listen they don’t.

Listen they didn’t.
They didn’t get it.
They didn’t truly see.

They saw only their deliverance.

And there sat the poor, wise Man.
The Deliverer of their souls.
Greater than the greatest of kings.

But no one remembered.

Check out the story of the poor, wise man in Ecclesiastes 9:13-18.
