what’s in the Bible?

Parents, one of the greatest challenges you face as the primary spiritual guides of your children’s hearts is the weighty and rewarding assignment of teaching your kids to love the Word of God. Trust me, I know. I was a kid once.

In case you haven’t heard, there’s this world in which the masterful voice of all things Veggie Tales meets the classic puppet faces of your fondest childhood memories. And it’s all centered around learning about the Bible. It doesn’t get any better than that.

What’s in the Bible? literally takes your child on a whirlwind of an adventure through all 66 books of the Bible, touching on their history, their characters, their principles, and their truths. And not that the Bible needs to be entertaining, but this stuff is entertaining. Learning = fun? Score.

Veggie Tales creator Phil Vischer was struck by the plight of today’s children as they are daily bombarded with confusion and lies, and it ignited in him a desire to strengthen the church by pressing upon kids’ hearts an eagerness and excitement for learning the Bible, the Only Truth.

And he rocks out. We’re talking black gospel choirs, Rhett and Link, a pirate who does something, and a professional Sunday School teacher with a magic flannelgraph. I mean, really.

And get this. What’s in the Bible? partners with Seeds Family Worship. {I know, right?}

If you like Veggie Tales, you’ll love What’s in the Bible?, because it’s even better {says this diehard Veggie Tales fan}.

If you aren’t a huge Veggie Tales fan, you’ll love What’s in the Bible?
Because it’s better. It’s the Bible. No fainting sheep, and no purple slushies hurled over the wall of Jericho.

So, all you need to do is check them out. Watch free clips online like the one below. Then check out their website for everything else.

Keep at it, brave parents. Your kids need a Guide for life. And, really, it’s not you. It’s what’s in the Bible. So get busy. You’ve got quite a journey ahead.

“Biblical illiteracy is a huge problem in the church today as far too many kids are growing up without a clear understanding of their own faith. The What’s in the Bible? video series is an effort to provide kids a foundational knowledge of the Bible and of their faith that can launch them on a lifelong walk with God—a journey that will change them and change the world around them.”
